Fellows,
I have special thick liquid, I normally used for my voodoo and mentalism effect. Just a little daub in spectator arm or his back palm it will make feel hot and hotter. You can do many nice routined with this. If I plan to market this do you think I can sell it? Is this liquid available before in market? Price will be only USD20 per maybe 10 to 15mm. Thank you very much in advance. |

Would love to here more about what sensation the spectator feels etc, but does sound like a brilliant idea!

Does it have an odor?
How does it compare with odorless Bengay, and can it be applied covertly like Bengay or Cinnimon Oil? Is it safe? |

About two years ago I bought just such a product in Blackpool at the convention.
It cam in a small bottle (about the size of a lipstick) But on taking the cap off there was a mini rollerball like that used on a deoderant. A small dab on the finger was then transfered to the inside of the wrist of a person. It quickly became very hot and irritable and the guy had wet wipes to hand out to those he tested Looking at it from a purely performance angle; the problem is not getting the effect you need, but how to stop it once it's been experienced. With the product I mentioned (which unfortunately I can't remember the supplier or even the name of) the handing out of some sort of cloth or wipe surely gives away the secret. This needs to be circumvented, IMHO, before one can think about performing it. Steve |

Steve, you have hit on the 2nd problem with this type of effect and methodology.
The first being, who would want to cause pain or discomfort to an audience member? Tony |

I would be worried about skin reactions. Plus imagining temperature change is fairly straightforward with suggestion without the need for making any contact with a person.

Is this a kind of Hypno Heat??

I would be happier to use HEAT by Carl de Rome as it is a piece of foil that gets hot, and can be dropped at any time by the person.
Questions have been asked about health issues, and Carl has gone into a lot of detail about his product. There is a thread about itnon here somewhere Steve |

Hot and Hotter thick liquid seems like a bad idea for the negative physical reasons listed above. If the spectator trys to remove it him or herself, it might be transfered to their eyes, and then you would have a whole new potentially dangerous problem or law suit to to contend with. I would not buy or use this product.

I wonder if the performer might open himself to a lawsuit if the spectator *claims* they were injured physically or upset emotionally, there are some out there just looking for an offbeat reason to "cry wolf" and a lot of heat on their body that does not instantly subside could be disturbing, tempting to complain about, and give them ideas.

Health risks are always an issue, when specs are part of the equation.
It seems to me that there's another potential goal. If we look at such an effect as being CAUSED by us, that's one thing. IF, however, the effect happens for some reason that appears to be out of our control, then the goal is to SAVE the spectator, and the performer becomes the hero. It could be much stronger.
