I'm interested in this effect:

In Roberto Giobbi's Card College 3, page 585, there is an effect called "The Palindrome Cards". Same effects, three phases instead of two, slightly different handling.
Very good! Maybe you even got the books already ... mlippo |

Here are MORE METHODS for the palindrome cards plot. (They're in books, though.)

There's a trick called 1 to 5 in The Classic Magic of Larry Jennings.

I heard from a friend that anecdotal evidence is actually quite reliable. |

Thanks very much, guys. You've been so helpful -- and I do have some of these books. What a great resource we have here!

It's amazing to me that when you see a trick on video you get that "OMG I gotta get that and use it all the time" yet it is the same trick you skimmed over in a book ie Card College and thought um...maybe...naw...too much work. One of my favorite "packet tricks" I learned out of a book and it was just called the 4 card trick - Alex Elmsley

I have a wife that will be brutally honest if a new trick I am trying looks jenky. so I try it on her first, then I try on a small group of friends - seems as a magician you always have a couple friends that want to see a new trick. So, if it goes over well, use it. If not Practice, Practice, Practice

Poof-Daddy,
thanks for your reply. It's not a problem about performing in general. It's just I don't feel ready enough for this one. What I'm not sure enough about are the card cull at the beginning, the discrepancy between the end of the first phase and the beginning of the second, the not actually showing all the cards and the few quadruple turnovers required. That's why I was asking if anyone had experience with it, although Giobbi's word should suffice ... I'll do it sooner or later ... mlippo |
