Departure by Derek Roberts VS Ring Flight Evolution

Departure = £37.99
Ring Flight Revolution = £110

So I realise the revolution is quality hand made ect but is it that much better than Departure???

x3 the price is a lot of extra cash for something that does the same job. So can you guys give me your opinions on this??

Its going to be a regular and big part of my new ring routines so if its worth the extra then fine....but I would need convincing to spend three times more.

Doc:

I have Departure. It works fine and I have never had a problem with it. Many people had problems with their Departure breaking - I must have gotten a good one. The fob that comes with Departure is not as refined as the Revolution ring flight. If you look at Revolution, all you see is a key. Very deceptive. If you look at Departure, you see a chunk of black plastic that resembles a key fob. It would have been a nice touch if it had colored buttons, but it doesn't. But nobody has ever burned a hole in the gimmick and mentioned it - at that point all eyes are on the ring.

So ... if you're a working professional and will be doing this several times every day, I'd go for Revolution. It would be good insurance. If you're a part timer and will only do it now and again, get the Departure.

I really like the look of Ring Flight Revolution with the modern car keys.

I had 2 Departure's and they both broke in under a month. I'm about to purchase Revolution.

I had the Morelli ring flight effect that Andre was kind enough to provide a link for and wasn't impressed first it came without instructions which I eventually got then it came apart on me and I couldn't put it back together.
In my opinion Pro-Flite by Nick Einhorn is much better quality and design and it looks like a normal sized key fob the Morelli one is huge but as I say I was unlucky with my purchase.

Guys thanks so much for the response.....hmmm two departures broken in a month.....thats not good.

I think its simple really, reliability, expecially when dealing with a spectators expensive ring is paramount.....revolution it is then!!

And what about Immakulate Ring Flight?. I've that one and works very fine for me.
The only problem that I see with it is the key holder itself, a little old fashion

Chris Smith was great about replacing the Departures and even 'updated' the design but it still broke on me (though fortunately before I attached their rings in both occasions). I agree that the most important thing is reliability. I can't have other peoples' rings flying across the room.

Just-In-Case! see at http://www.porperoriginals.com As far as I know, of the hundreds we've sold, never had a complaint. No thread to break.

Hmmm...never had a problem with mine. Super easy to do, safe for the ring and great response.

Hi Guys
I personally reccomend Revolution. I have used this product for a year performing actively a couple hours a night in Casino enviroment and have no problems. I also know Dave Bonsall personally and he offers a very professional back up service of two years.

I just got my Revolution in the mail yesterday. I can tell this is a quality piece of equipment. I can't wait to start performing ring flite again.

This is a great product, though so far I've been terrified of actually opening it up and taking it apart. I'd love to actually increase the speed of the device, but I'm not very mechanically inclined. I might actually send it back to be adjusted so I don't have to fear breaking it!

Been doing Ring Flight for some 30 years ,
even made a few custom versions myself,

Right Flight Revolution hands down.

You really don't want the persons ring you using
to go flying off to who knows where.

Ring Flight Revolution is the one for me. Not only is it great quality, but it is a familiar item to people, unlike some of the others.

That is for sure! Imagine this scenario:

You're on a cruise ship, outside on the upper deck. You perform Ring Flight. "Here, ma'am, we'll wrap your ring in this handkerchief, and I'll have you hold it..." And then you hear, "PING...dink, dink, dink..." and you look, just in time to see the $25,000 diamond ring go over the side of the ship into the water! The ocean is 2 1/2 miles deep where the ship is...

That happened to someone I knew. That was the original Ring Flight. Every time I see the title of that trick, I see that happen in my mind! Yeah, don't skimp on this. Or get some incredible insurance...
