Just noticed this new table, looks perfect for many purposes. Only question is how stable is it?
http://www.abbottmagic.com/Briefcase-Tab......able.htm I would have been more excited if they brought back the Bud West Joker Table, it opened into a table and looked really good. |

At $695.00 it better be made of gold and do some of the performing.

Well, I think the it does perform for you and your audience. It is a trick in itself really. I believe the price is for the complicated extension upright, and the leatherette covering. Looks like a very professional piece.
Can't beat walking in with a case for your show material and a case that turns into a table. |

At first glance, it looks too small to be useful for bigger items and too big and probably too heavy (and expensive) to be a good "odds-and-ends" side table.

I don't think it actually acts as a case. I could be wrong, but that scissor-lift would eat up most of the real estate inside the case.

Just saw this thread. Mac King and I played with this table at Abbott's Get Together this year. It's very cool but is not a prop case. The mechanism does take up all of the inside space. Still, it's a great visual effect - and the transformation is fast.
