Some of the drugs I took were giving me nightmares and hearing voices at night. I quit those and the voices etc are gone. Okay, I have these storm windows sealed outside the reg windows and my wife complained about a lack of air circulation so being off my normal meds I made a nice hole for air using a sledge hammer. It sounds bad but it worked and my wife liked the air blowing in at night.
Since her passing everymorning I would close the regular window except for an inch so my pit bull wouldn't see it and get cut trying to escape to lick the people he would meet. At night when I come to bed that window would be open as wide as possible. I thought I was just forgetting so I made sure to close it with a small gap and again everynight open wide. My inlaws think the wife is haunting me but i, even doped up, didn't buy it. Tonightb that window was open so I closed it and read.....until I heard the window. Myy wifes cat was stickin. Paw in and thn her head and body opening the window past the jagged edges and everything. Ghost caught! |

It's strange what you can imagine sometimes.
When I built my house, the upstairs was not completely finished when I moved in. I was upstairs painting a room when I heard something that sounded like a rattlesnake in the closet. I left the house, went to get my dad (I was 26 years old) and returned, only to discover that the sound was caused by a long string of Christmas tree bead decorations slowly sliding from the sack in which it was stored.
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

I think it's groovy that it's her cat that is doing it.
I love sentimental stuff like that. |

Slide, yes I am Steve V from magic talk (I can't remember the dang address now). I used magic santa to make an xmas post and it stuck though I told anyone who asked who I was. What name did you use Slide or did you use Slide?
I lived in an apartment years ago and at 3 in the morning I heard a voice saying something about "we must get ready" or something like that. After a few days I sat in the front room and heard that voice again. Next night I heard it whikw standing and looked in my wifes school bag, she taught, and there was a batman watch with the alarm set for 3 am and the thing talked. |

I can't remember what I went by on that forum. But I was always amazed at the volume of posts you put out. I remember thinking: "Does that guy ever work?"

Magic Santa, no offense, but
Are you even interested in magic performance, notwithstanding all of your Magic Talk posts? I do not recall ever reading any of your posts in the magic forums around here sir. Hmmmm |

Good question. I have done magic for forty years and perform etc. The reason I avoid other areas other than a select few is I do not tolerate fools gladly. I find a great many of the net experts to be so completely ignorant of the art I don't want to fight with them. Then when the workers do say something of value these twits ignore or misundertand the statements when they should be thanking them. I do have magic discussions elsewhere or via pm. I also do not like that fools are being listened to while those who know are not.
In all honesty if I went to certain forums I would be banned in an hour. I don't think the net is good for magic, I believe in mentors and earning your stripes. When I see some kid think they are owed an explanation from a pro and then insulted if the don't get a response they want they disrespect the pro rather than work to their goal. I absolutely hate exposure on youtube and all that garbage and those rats are the same ones on boards begging for answers. That is why I rarely post elsewhere but if you or anyone else wishes to ask me about performing or magic I will be happy to respond to the extent I deem appropriate. |

Dang it now I am angry. Note I don't wander around verifying other peoples post since this is the non magic section but since challenged I will give some opinions and if people don't like it tough.
1. Performing for children is not easy. You must be funny and a perfect trick isn't funny. Messing up, not seeing the obvious, confusion, all good stuff. Get the kids involved. 2. You do not need expensive props to do a kids show. If you cannot do 45 minutes out of a briefcase then you need to reevaluate. If you want to use top dollar props good for you but don'tb slam a certain Scot who can crush you and your prop with an envelope. 3. Write a script and try to make the show charactor driven. A script anchors your show, you can riff but it gives you a place to go back to. 4. You do eight kids shows in private homes a day? Bull. You likely have never done eight in a year. 5. Bizarre magic is great but it is in reference to charactor not spooky. 6. Mentalism takes strong character and the ability to operate with smoothness even when bullets are flying at you. 7. Buskers are god 8. Ambush dead pan magic usually sucks, it isn't street magic it is close up lacking performance skills. 9. Gospel magic is usually the worse presented magic and why are they always marrying 17 year old girls when they bthemselves are in their 30? 10. It likely isn't or original so stop claiming it. 11. Tableside magic is cool but if everyone did it who claimed they id it then every restaurant would have 4 magicians on staff. 12. Magic is not tricks, it is the artistic presentation of a trick. |

If I take an asprin it gives me a hot fever, then tend to have vivid dreams.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.
