Overwinding does not seem to be a problem and it is not as delicate as my older balls. I have droped the ball several times in practice and the ball still looks new. I have broken 4 of the steel balls before I got the chance to perform with them.( that's allot of money down the drain) If you want a silk this is the ball to buy! Just wanted to say thanks RJH for the tip. |

Hey Reggie, I'm happy that I could help you! I'm considering getting the new JL SIlk to Ball and I would like to ask, if attaching the silk to the ball is as easy as it seems on the video?

Hi RHJ, attaching the silk to the ball is extreamly easy! With practice you can even drop the silk into the ball and it will still attach. You can even pull the silk out of the ball without destroying the ball. Try this with anything else on the market and you might as well perchase a new one. This is without doubt the best silk to ball on the market!

Is there a video besides the YouTube one? It looks terrible on that video.

Although I think this is a stage or stand up prop it still looks good from a close distance. I've used this constantly over the past few weeks and it looks great, Hope this helps |

You are supposed to see the white ball after the change. The effect is white silk to white ball. I think you have mistaken this effect for something else. |

Reggie, I realize you stated you "won" your JL Silk to Ball, but where can one purchase the new improved version? Is their a different name for this ball? How would one know they are buying the new version over old stock dealers have on their shelves?
I still cannot believe that the plastic would hold up from the heat and friction created by the axis pin. Plastic wears more easily then metal. Did they reinforce the area around the holes? I find it interesting you said you dropped the ball and it did not break. I dropped my JL shell on the kitchen floor and it cracked and broke into many pieces. The only thing holding it together is the outer soft covering. I really like this prop and would like to buy one, but JL does not communicate in the English language, and is thus very hard to communicate with. They just supply props and do not want to answer questions and concerns. If a product is not going to last 20 years of regular use, then it is a waste of money, in my opinion. |

Actually, that Demo, has very little to do with the JL Silk to Ball prop. That was the guy in the video method so he could bounce the ball. I really don't think many would do the bounce, as it is more a way to segue from a silk to a ball routine. The purpose of a Demo is not show a flawless trick, but to only give a "suggestion" of on way to handle the prop. One could have use a Color Change, a Topit, a Vanish, or any of the other ways to continue, depending on the individual performer's desire.
Actually, the only judgment that should be made for this device is the action of the silk changing into a ball. Frankly, that looked very good to me. Most important to a purchaser is the quality of the prop and if it will last with constant use without breaking. |

I think Bill makes that clear, above. That was a demo for us, not a performance. If it was me, I'd do a changeover with a t*pit ditch. For, like maybe...Multiplying Billiard Balls. These Silk To Balls are gonna get knocked off like crazy! Ya wanna be sure and buy from the source!
