Hi guys.
I do appreciate that this room was initially built for the purposes of stage hypnosis. We've been through all of that over the last couple of years or so We also have a couple threads here on street hypnosis, which I've somehow managed to stay out of LOL. I was just wondering who is running mentoring at this time. For my own sins I have a pretty healthy clinical therapy unit and use entertainment hypnosis whilst doing magic/mentalism. If I'm honest the therapy hypnosis took a good 2 full years before being remotely worthwhile. However, today I find myself doing weekend workshops here in the UK and in Europe and mentoring at my home here in Scotland through the week whilst doing therapy. It's strange how I 'fell' into this. Many hypnotists gave me a hard time for NOT putting out clips of me doing hypnosis, which I DID understand but I had decided not to for strong reasons (which might be too long and boring to go into?). But what I had always done was invite any 'practicing' hypnotist to come see me do what I say I do. I never used to charge for this in the early days but do now. The interesting thing is that once I charged the business took off, which is extremely interesting. Even more interesting is how I now have people booking for both mentoring AND the workshop at the same time, WITHOUT seeing what I do, which to be honest I find a bit puzzling. I even suggest that whatever is coming first that they go to THAT and then see if they want to do the other but more often than not they book both. Having said that nearly 100% of my work is based on personal recommendation. I just wanted to talk to any other guys doing mentoring and see if we can perhaps exchange ideas/concepts? Initially in here in The Café of course in order to aid the peer group. Just as a reminder... I have chosen NOT to mentor newbies. I'm not against that, it's just that I mentor IN the therapy room with real clients and ALL my workshops are about working with real people with real challenges and feel that it's no place for the totally lay person. But yes, of course I teach pure hypnosis to some as an ad hoc. Anyone else out there involved in mentoring at present?

Is this the 'you are getting sleepy room'? for hypnotists? LOL>
I mentor in many ways Danny (voice coaching, Tai Chi, Magic, Mentalism, psychic awareness, Rolfing etc) Bur here I am talking about being a hypnotist. And mainly I mentor in the form of 'clinical hypnosis'. I'll do a special rate for you naturally. Based on our friendship.

I'd love to meet/ chat/ buy you quality drinks, Bob. I'm back from Asia in a few weeks and currently in Australia. Just had a chat with Saul actually, who was full of shining praise.

You couldn't be ar$ed making it to any of the opportunities to meet me, when I was over there. Or was it really what Jon said: You couldn't afford it? Quote:
