Hey- just wondering if anyone has any tips on shipping a wire asrah form. Driving it is not an option unfortunately. Trying to figure out the safest way to get it cross country without it getting smashed. Thanks!

Which means.....a 5 pound (or less!) form gets put into a 100 pound plus crate! LOL Does it not fit into the Asrah base or was this a seperate sale?

I would say, any cardboard box and lots of foam.

Oh, I thought you wanted to know the right way to do it! LOL
If you re-enforce the inside of the cardboard box with hardboard or 1/4 ply, then yes it may work. It isn't the weight of it to consider. It is it's delicate and expensive nature that needs to be protected. And with it's size it can be easily crushed. I would never consider sending the many I have made without a hard container of some kind. Blair-- you joker! You know this! Ha Ha

ITs not as bad as having a road case to carry a "road case prop", like a sub trunk or MPS or etc...lol

However you build it, make it look like a casket.
Then they won't throw it around as much. :) Tom

Or write fragile- throw undershand.
Usually, it is packed into the base and shipped. Otherwise a hard case is a definite. I once had a customer make a large hard case to hold a botania open in transport. It looked beautiful years later but for the difference in shipping costs, he probably could have bought two more. Richard

Joking about the cases reminded me of reading about one of the old greats writing 'live snakes' on some of the backstage boxes.
Can't remember who it was, but he did say it prevented the loading help from opening the boxes. Tom
