Hello,
I am wanting to take professor's nightmare and a ninja ring onto an airplane, but wonder how security will feel about this. Any experience anyone? Many thanks, Danny |

I've never had an issue with ropes, but did have a discussion with the supervisor regarding a breakdown wand. I always plan on extra time at security and, obviously, don't travel with CCK! I don't use rings ...

Thanks that's a relief. But what is CCK?

G'day to you all
I am currently travelling through Uk and Europe and take a flight from Luton to Amsterdam tomorrow morning. I have had such a mixed response regarding magic props at airport security. I have had confiscated the following items: a pom pom pole (and that was after traveling for a long time with it), juggling balls (because they may have been filled with bird seed), Juggling sticks (Devil sticks) the ones with the fluffy ends, and rope for cut and restored (but at the same time I had my set for the 3 rope routine that was not even looked at). I have come to the conclusion that the whole thing is a bit unpredicatable and up to the opinion of the individual security personel. Tomorrow every thing is going in check in - which is a bother - but can be less of a hassle. Good luck with you travel experience. Bob Latta (aka Troppo Bob) |

Thanks Bob,
That's a bit worrying! I have a 3 hour pit stop in Philly and thought I might want to play. hmmmmmmm. I'll decide on the day and let you know how I get on. Many thanks Danny |

G'day Danny
I packd most of mt gear for my street show in the check in bag but I left one piece of rope for C&R in my cabin baggage just to see if there were any issues. No worries on this flight into Amsterdam - my cheap rope made it through (but not the bottle of water that I forgot to take out). Bob Latta (aka Troppo Bob) |

Sometimes I do this with my hand tools for work, Box up your "questionable" items and UPS/FedEx them to your destination (Insured of course)
