Desperate times call for desperate measures. The appearing cane I ordered was junk- I won't even get into that disappointment- and I wanted another method for vanishes. I'm already doing TT and a devil's hank and didn't want to duplicate too much so I made a paper change bag and this:

Yes, it is a cardboard box, held together with tape, wrapped in tissue paper and marked with pencil lines.

Hey, I like it. Nothin' wrong with that. I wouldn't mind something similar, as I'm single, working part time and have to move, so am low on $$. What did you use for, or where did you get, the gimmick? You can pm.

PMing you both.
Posted: Aug 2, 2012 11:02pm Thanks for the encouragement you guys! I know it ain't much, but it works. And I think the unprofessional look of it helps it in a way. And I patched that hole by the top handle so from a few feet it looks better.

You did a great job. Sometimes zebra wood and the like are not the way to go, I think it is about time performers should stick to ordinary looking items that you will not be afraid to use.
As long as it works is good for me - basics are good. I have seen Jeff McBride do more with an ordinary pack of cards than the most elaborate apparatus....it isn't what you have but what you can do with it! |

You could try diangle lines on the inside ends. That would help with that angle of view.

Draw them the same direction that the you-know-what is angled.

That really helped James. Still, I won't be letting eyes linger.
Thanks again.
