Well it's lunch time, I'm at work and its pushing 100° Heat index. Im half way through day number two but Im still trucking. This is not easy I feel like I need one to get through this horrendous day.

However, I just re-read every post and my list and I keep telling myself I'm better then that. sorry to ramble on its just nice to have a place to talk.

I bought my lunch and was very close to buying a pack but didn't.

I just hope this gets easier.

Good luck. Don't think anyone mentioned Chantix. It's worked for some people I know when nothing else did. Just be sure to discuss side effects with your Dr. first to decide if it's for you.

I know a few people who used Chantix and it worked for them also. The one thing they all said about it was that they had really weird dreams while taking it.

THey y'all, I'm trying my hardest to quit smoking cigarettes but its really hard. I have tried many methods even the ol' cold Turkey method but nothing seems to be working.

What have some of you done to help you quit?

Help a brother out and show me a way to kick these nasty things to the curb.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm a quitter. Smile

15 years and going strong.

It's in the heart, not the mind.

Do it because you love something else.

Your children. Your wife. Your family. Your friends. Your favourite sports.

And of course...

Yourself. Smile

Be passionate about it.

Nothing beats passion.

I hate taking pills so when I developed high blood pressure I put my cigars and pipe on hold. It's been a year so far and the pills haven't gone away as of yet.

If your physician says you can, exercise.

It's fun. Smile

I don't think that an occasional cigar hurts any more than the air we're already breathing. The key word is "occasional."

I would not recommend it if you're just starting to quit. Smile

Using an ECig or "vaping" has worked wonders for me.

Why in the world would anyone smoke a substance that causes certain death, and you can't even get a buzz from it. You know that there are safer substances to smoke?

Cigarettes don't cause "certain" death.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.
