I just finished watching the DVD,
and I liked it far more than I had expected.

Nina Conti spends a great deal of time
talking about the her mentor, his influence
on her career, and his death. So, it's not all rosy.
It is, rather, like watching experimental theater.

There are also many great comic bits in it
with Nina, of course, and ...

Especially for those of us who cannot go to VentHaven,
this DVD has a number of treats in store.
There are appearances by several other great ventriloquists
(whom I have not seen recently on video).

I particularly enjoyed watching a scene with the
remarkable Dan Horn showing how arm rods
could be attached to Nina's monkey and used
for manipulation. Quite funny!
(Wish it could've been longer!)

If you haven't seen this video yet,
don't let the "dark" scenes stop you.
This DVD is definitely worth buying!
