So going deeper into this book I am prepared to say that this swan song of J.K. Hartman's may well be his best work. Not to imply that his other work isn't excellent - it is as evidenced by the praise Hartman's magic has garnered from many of magic's greats.
I have found no LESS than 5 effects thus far I would add to my repertoire. The section on sleights is also superb and well worth the study. The majority of the 60 effects are impromptu and 40 of them have never seen print before. The interview with Hartman at the end of the book is interesting reading as Hartman is known as a recluse in the art. His thoughts about creating effects is especially interesting. I hope to provide a review of this book in time but, books should not be rushed. I will say however that this book has caused me to set aside for now The Definitive Sankey (a superb collection). I should also add that Hartman assumes that the magician has working knowledge of foundational sleights. The additional sleights are taught in detail and the sleights are again taught within each routine so there is no turning back 32 pages to review the sleight. Again I have to give major props to Andi Gladwin and Joshua Jay for producing a fine book. There are a few formatting errors but nothing that affects the effects. Namaste, Vlad |

I received mine's one two days ago. I like the book so much, especially the size.
Just finished to read the first section, going to move onto the next section tonight. - Arthur |

Ordered mine from WOM and it arrived next day.
I love the format, it's a lot smaller than JK Hartman's other books. There's no dust cover which I prefer. I'm going to spend the weekend working through it. Thanks Andi and Josh for spending the time to make Hartman's final book a treasure to possess.

I didn't like Card Craft but I went ahead and ordered this based on the comments here.

I'm a fan of Alakazam's The Grail. So I was delighted to find Hartman's version of the effect at the of the book where the spectator handles the deck.
It's called Holey Grail and shouldn't be overlooked. I've been frying everyone I've shown this to.
