If you have any the old Thayers catalogs (especially #8) you will see pictures of the Thayer house at 929 South Longwood, Los Angeles. Quite a display of magic apparatus in those pictures.
If you happen to have Google Earth, you can see a street view of what the house looks like today. Just type in the address in the search bar and then get a street view. When you get the picture, take a look at what is on the roof. Another magical find.

One of the nicest things I have experienced was a chance to tour the Longwood estate during the LA History Conference. Through the kindness of the Larsen family (Irene, Erica and Libby), the convention attendees were priviledge to enter the Longwood Studio. Marvyn Roy demonstrated Thayer magic on the stage as he did in the past. It was a very unique experience that I will always treasure.
