Good day dear Magicians.
I am very new to the coin-side of magic and have therefore a few questions. I would very much like to perform a copper silver routine. I am aware of the workings of the gimmick needed, however I have some questions: 1. What copper silver set do you recommend? Where can I buy it? 2. I would of course prefer domestic current coins (i.e. euros) however there are no 2 different euro values that are the same size. Nonetheless tango is selling a 2€ / 50Cent set. isn't this akward? the coins should be of different size but the gimmick of course is not. Am I worrying too much? 3. Has anybody purchased and try out Vizcarra's silver copper routine? (I could not find a review on the Café) This routine is so perfect that it was the impetus to start coin magic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCvV0WCDXHM 4. would you say that it is very very difficult to perform for a beginner like me? (I do know classic palm, himber vanish, retention vanish etc.) 5. Would this set work if I intent to perform Vizcarras routine? http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S7817 Thank you very much indeed |

I was happy with Tango's Euro Copper/Silver. It's coin that should never have been made for the reason you mentioned.

Honestly, this section is called 'trick coin trickery'. If we can't mention that they exist it's a bit strange..

Just get yourself a C/S gaff & a matching regular silver & copper coin.
Then start to learn David Roth's C/S routine where the final transposition takes place in the spectators hand. I can't remember what DVD it's on now but I expect someone can chime in. I've seen many C/S routines but Roth's IMO cannot be beaten. |

Johnson products.
Also TWOCAN here on the Magic Café makes beautiful C/S coins.
