Just home from seeing @iden Sincl@ir performing his version of LVN@ at this year's Dr@gon-C0n in Atlanta. After years of performing it, what a treat to sit back and see what it looks like from the other side.
First, the bad news, our valiant @iden (aka Revenantproductions) got no respect from the powers that be--little promo, distant room, small venue. Worst of all, all publications merely read 'paranormal illusionist'--er, what? And, the good news? Our boy packed them in. There was room to seat about 150 in the room and it was SRO with people lining every wall, sitting on the floors, and queuing out into the hallway. They had to push people back and close the doors on them before the show could start. I was lucky to get in (joined by Vic Nadata and Jim Magus). And what a superb show it was. The routine just kills (no surprise there), but revenantproductions had added PG and lots of extraordinary bonus touches that took us down through the dirt and into the coffin of this new routine. Very atmospheric stuff. Very effective. Sadly, the punter wasn't overly blessed with reading skills (or intelligence it would appear) and went to a wrong spot in the book (thick is as thick does), but our valiant hero managed to see the danger and (with no little amount of effort and consummate skill) navigate around a sure-dud start and turn it into an effective and entertaining opening. Then on to the 1935 we all know and love with a killer 1936 finish and a straitjacket finale (by his assistant, Windy) that has to be seen to be truly appreciated. A regular work of art, that. Here's a bright star turn with a superb delivery & the extraordinary LVN@ in the palm of his hand. If you have a chance to catch this show (two more days in Atlanta before his national tour as I understand it) by all means do. This is what it is all about. BC

Thank You for coming out to the shows at DragonCon.
We were honored to have 4 standing room only shows with the last full room at 10am this morning. The crowds were incredible, but it was the people that we met in Atlanta that really made it such an amazing trip. Performing this material for Vic and Prof BC was also a very special privilege and we were very honored to have had such an opportunity. We can't wait to come back next year and do it all again. He,would have went,if he had known! It was signed..."Godzilla, your pal Alice 12" Kind of funny,a Dude with a chic's name, signing a photo,to a Big Ass Lizard! LOL

Godzilla,
That is too cool. Our only disappointment with DragonCon was that our show was at the same time as the Alice Panels. I would have loved to catch him and James R@ndi was one of the people who was on his panel. Best, RP |
