The concept of using a cell phone to retrieve the voice over instructions for a VB type routine is mine and Scott Alexanders. We used this premise for our routine "Shoe Business". I am a little upset that we were not asked for our blessing or even credited with coming up with this first. He mentions all the research but never approached us. If he would have approached us he would have found out that our good friend and fellow magician Joe Romano from Virginia came up with the idea of taking our routine even further by using the voice of Siri quite a while ago. Yes, it's possible for two people to come up with the same idea independently but if one is already successfully marketed then this needs to be addressed. All he had to do was a simple Google search and would have stumbled upon our version. Marketing this is just unethical and wrong in my opinion. We too did our research and spoke in depth with Tom Ogden, Max Maven, and Johnny Thompson. We gave credit where it was due and maintained our original take on it in the process. I've PM'd this guy first before posting publicly but he chose not not to respond. So now it's out there.

Great to hear that Jimmy! Nice to see you didn't submit to the bully tactics of some who think they own the idea of using Siri.

If so , I may want to look at that product before making my final purchase selection? Can someone direct me to this product? I did Google "Siri Magic Trick" & "Phone Voice Magic Trick" and did not see Puck or any Bannana or Shoe trick mentioned? |

I, too, am very confused. It seems like he came up with an independent version of an exsiting routine using SIRI. Was the guy in VA creating this and Jimmy beat him to the release not knowing another was doing it???
Is the question here that he should have checked if anyone was creating an idea he had? Not trying to cause an issue. Just trying to figure out what is wrong here. |

From the quote above, it seems Puck may have a problem with the use of the Siri voice because he apparently uses it for "Shoe Business". Two different effects. Even if they were similiar, we are talking about a voice that no one owns but Apple, so any despute about who is allowed to use the voice is rather silly.
