Looks amusing for handing out business cards and not having to carry a rabbit around to pull a rabbit out of a hat, but was wondering if anyone acually had it and would comment on quality or usefulness.

After looking at this a bit more (the demo, have not purchased it yet), starting to wonder if it's anything more than Cardiograph using a rabbit out of a hat?

Barts185,
I would agree, this looks exactly like business cardiographic but instead of a card it is a rabbit. Also, the "drawn" top hat and rabbit look much more like clip art than a hand drawn image.

Paul,
Thanks for the confirmation. I'm still debating getting a "trick" business card vs. a "normal" business card, but definitely am passing on Rabbit Rise for now. |

It is a great effect, identical to cardiographic, it is not easy to carry without messing up the gimmick, it is , the best I can say, sensitive . It tends to move out of alignment.
And if that happens you need to re set the set up, with all that said, it is a fun effect to do and to use, it's just not 100% . |

I sent an email to Matt Marcy asking about any differences between Rabbit Rise and Business Card-iographic, will see what he says.

I agree with Dave's review. Not the best due to what Dave mentioned.

I liked business cardio-graphic but have never made it up. I bought it but after seeing it live, I just didn't think the gimmick was deceptive. Unless you keep the card moving, it's too easy to spot what's going on IMO. That's why I opted to have an out to lunch principle effect built into the back of my business card. My friend Michael Dustman designed it for me and I carry it with me every day in my Stockholder wallet. Absolutely kills. I still think out to lunch style effects are the strongest you can do with a business card and there are literally 100 different effects you can produce with the method.

Matt Marcy responded and said that he had talked with Brian Curry (the person putting out Business Card-iographic) before releasing Rabbit Rise.

Bart, did he tell you the difference, no, because there is none, he does give credit to Curry, I thought his first name was Paul.

I too found that it was sensitive and got out of alignment easily, however this is easily fixed by adding two additional pieces to the gimmick. Now it never gets out of alignment and I'm able to reset it as fast as I can turn it back over. I've been able to give out several cards right in a row without anyone catching on to the secret, or having any trouble with the gimmick.

I am in the process of trying to get this thing to work...I am a very crafty person.
But still having trouble. I will try the method mentioned above. Also, what the heck is that annoying, clicking sound during the ENTIRE duration of the video, very annoying.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.
