I usually steal cards for my manipulation act from body loads and would like to steal from the deck. I see the advantage in that you can do card manipulations more impromtu than having to prepare body loads. Any suggestions from you guys or girls for stealing off the deck or resorces from books or videos?

To my knowledge, there are no resources solidly on 'off the deck work'.
There are however a few bits and pieces here and there, the 'waterfall fan' uses an 'off the deck' technique, and can be found on The Art of Card Manipulation volume 2. Good luck, and do let us know if you find any good material. |

Kevin is right. I do not know of any videos or books that explains the off the deck process in depth. McBride may cover off on it a little bit and you may pick up on variations of this from some of the moves on his tape.
I learned a puch off technique that loads the cards into the front palm position as well as a technique where you can get the cards into back palm from the deck itself. Both of these moves were taught to me at a magic convention. If I come across anything, I will make sure to post it here.

You could experiment and come up with some ideas of your own. Considering 'off the pack' technically means gaining the cards you later produce off the top(bottom, or middle) of the deck rather than from a clip or body holdout.
Good luck, and if you come up with anything you feel is good do share it with us, maybe through a PM if you don't want to reveal it on the boards. Kevin |

Jeff McBride has a great lecture on working off the pack if you go to his masterclass.

Zombie:
Thanks for the information. I do not think he has a lot of that on the tapes, but I do know he had showed us a few of that topic at one of the conventions this past year.
