Dunninger believed differently.

Many years ago, I met Dave Walker (who used to work with Dunninger.) He told me Dunninger used to reveal a thought immediately in one go, rather than letter by letter for example. His reasoning was that if a person could really perceive thoughts, that the thought would come all at once in one quick flash, rather than slowly in a piecemeal-type fashion.

That's something I'm actually playing around with myself Paul. However, what I meant was in the movie the psychic sometimes would receive visions of an event to come unprompted or without trying to use his powers to foresee the future they would just come to him. To this kind of made sense as it could truly be something which just comes to you and may not always be something you want to happen or know when it will and won't work.
