Do any of your use the Johnson dollar sized "hong kong" coins for Charming Chinese Challenge? I have been useing the Sterling half dollar size for years and want to change to dollar size.
What are your thoughts please? thanks, David |

I have the Johnson Half dollar hong kong coins that I use, I also have a set of joker dollar size but very thin and don't work as well. and I have used a set of African dimes dollar size with hole in center.

Does anyone actually sell Johnson Chinese coins anymore? I've been looking for them for a while. The last set I got, I got it from Denny's in Vegas. And that's a pretty good while back. I can't speak for the dollar size coins, but I imagine that they have the same weight and thickness as a Morgan dollar. I think that it might be workable, but it a little hard for sleights for CCC. It all depends on you really, what YOU are comfortable with.

I just got the Hong Kong set last month from Johnson - give them a call and let them know what you are looking for, they can probably find them somewhere. Im glad I did because I did not know the Hong Kong coins were a bit larger the the regular johnson chinese coins and gaffs like c/s/b Hong Kongs fit snug in the [ the regular coins would move inside too much.

If you call Johnson, they will sell you the coins separate vs buying a few different Hong Kong sets...I called them maybe 4 months ago...they were going to sell them, but then I went with Lassens Miracle Set

Trooper, my set from joe mogar is the thin dollar size round holes milled edges. I don't like them as much as my half dollar hong kong coins & am holding out for when johnson gets the dollar size back in stock

The ones I use, I bought on eBay, but they weren't from a magic dealer.

Oh ok...I got a sample from Mogar with the thin coin. I did not like it at all...I currently have several sets: 2 lance pierce sets, dollar Hong Kong coins from Johnson, Todd Lassen miracle enjoyment coins, sterling half Chinese coins, and some penguin.com ones that aren't that great either...
