I have a bunch of Johnson Magic Products coin boxes and coin sets that are now some 30+ years old and that I haven't used for some years. The brash finishes outside and even inside the boxes is tarnished, as are some of the coins (especially half dollars).
What do you recommend for cleaning and renewing these? (I know that using at least some polishes on regular coins can produce nasty results.) |

Plain white toothpaste works surprisingly well and you probably already have some.

For me I like the tarnished look on my boxes. I even hung mine over some vingar to tarnish them faster to give them an old look. Just so they don't look like a magi prop.

I like my brass and copper bright, and I used to use Twinkle. That is almost impossible to find any more.
