Hi all,
couldn't find any forum for this so... I started learning Spanish a few months ago and my teacher recommended that I'll start reading some books in spanish or maybe watch some spanish films/series. I decided to try and practice two things at once, so I would like to know what spanish magic books or DVDs I should get? they don't have to be only with tricks, theory and magic history is good too. Watch Rene Lavand and Dani Daortiz,
I have been living in spain and spanish magicians are very talented especially in close up, try to do a research about good books and dvds by spanish magicians, I am sure you will find it useful for both of your goals |

Dani Da Ortiz has published some material in Spanish. It's available through his website http://www.grupokaps.com I think.
Also, look on the Paginas website. They are a Spanish magic publisher and have issued a number of excellent books which have since been translated into English (as well as a frustrating number that haven't. Good luck.

The Paginas website:
http://www.librosdemagia.com/ It's an excelent website. I strongly recommend "La Magia Española del siglo XX", it's quite expensive, but it is an amazing book! The other one would be Wenceslao Ciuró's "Juegos de manos de sobremesa" the one that started it all for Tamariz' generation, excellent book, not expensive, here's the link: http://librosdemagia.com/catalogo/ver/id/74 Cheers, Nico. |

I also recomend both Ramón Rioboo books, "Magia Pensada" and "Más Magia Pensada".
Juan Tamariz and Ascanio books are also my favourite choice. You can get them from Páginas or Frakson web sites |

All of the above mentioned books are in my personal collection and get a huge thumbs-up from me.
I would also suggest works by Jose de la Torre if you can find any. Luis Piedrahita is one of my fellow countrymen, as well as Juan Luis Rubiales, both of whom have works I highly recommend. |
