Can anyone recommend a DVD that teaches how to execute a silk routine?

Silks have a lot more content available in books. Silken Sorcery, Rice's Encyclopedia, Silk Seronade, Marconick. You can also watch videos that can give you suggestions. Since you are new, you should realize that a routine is most of the time the brainchild of the performer and not available to copy. You can emulate a routine but most "routines" are not available.
Since silks are an expensive media, you might be tempted to use acetates or scarfs. Don't. Take the advice of the silk dealers on this site and buy the best.

Try http://www.laflinmagicstore.com you will find many DVDs on silks & how to handle them. Many great ideas on how to develop a good silk routine. I own several of these myself & find the info. very beneficial!

Laflin is great! A real genius to work with silks! He makes it smooth and nice. I love Jay Scott Berry as well. He makes it fast en flashing.
So if you want to work with silk, you have to listen to Mark! After all you can learn from both! |
