Hello All, I have a lovely friendly white Netherland dwarf rabbit, infact I have 2, that are family pets. They are young, about 6 months old and have been handled every day by myself and my 5 year old daughter.
I also have 4 baby doves which are being handled daily. Now my daughter has decided that we should do a "magic show" at her school's "parents job day"!! I must stress the doves and rabbits are our pets and where not bought for magic. However I am a fan of magic and think it would be a fun thing to get into with my daughter. With this in mind I would like some advice on putting together a small fun show that we could do at school!! To begin with I am guessing we will need mostly self working magic tricks as my skill levels are close to 0!! Now as we only have about 3 months to work on this am I setting my sights on the unachievable or is there some hope out there??? I am NOT a magician by any stretch of the imagination but I am armed with a couple of props! I have a circus wagon, dove from balloon tray, Dove pan (this is the only magic trick I have ever used for other people. Christmas time I get the kids from the family to draw a load of sweets, then collect their drawings and hey presto.... real sweets) and magic colouring book . Any advice welcome, even if it is negative!! Thanks James |

I would say use what you have already. It looks like you already know how to take care of your pets from the length of time you had them.
Start your show off with Dove from Balloon. Next try the Coloring Book. Next use the rabbit in the Circus Wagon. Make candy appear in the Dove Pan, tossing it out to the audience. Have more candy on the side to toss out more candy when the candy in the dove pan is gone. You can present your act with music or do it verbally. Have your daughter be your assistant or vice versa. You might want to have her be the star instead. It is not a long act and there is no sleight of hand, summing it to a easy act you should have together in a short length of time. |

Thanks for the feedback Mike, I will take your advice and start practising the mini show in that order!
