Hey guys,
I'm searching for some classic close-up routines which can be performed for table-hopping. I already do Chop Cup, Spongeballs, Ninja Rings and a Rope-routine. Can you suggest any other calssics in close-up magic for me? Thanks a lot Martin |

Finger rings, or -- you already have a rope and a ring -- use those. Many "Off-On" effects are possible

What other effects do you do?
Perhaps some of your other effects can be used for table hopping? Mike |

A 3 card monte routine... either stand up monte or 3 by steve valentine.
coin routine... maybe 3 fly or coins across here's a great silk routine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eussdShPPQA and while you're using a TT... a torn and restored sugar packet is good. fork bending. ambitious card routine (seems like everyone does this for table hopping). it's best when the ending has their card go to an impossible location (like a kennedy mystery box). |

What kind of ring and string routine would you suggest?

I'll usually come in with a card transpo (always a good opener if you ask me). I'll follow that up with a simple visual stunner like Sander's "Tagged". If I feel like doing one more card effect Ill break out Ultra Gum, Branded or LIT. Ill throw in some TT work: "Sweet N Low (Osterlind's), a crazy bill switch and an impossible penetration with the bill (usually "Ignition"). Ill of course throw in "Pressure" with a balloon and perhaps sponge bunnies which I produce from Eddies' EMPTY" gimmick. For coins Ill usually do what Im most comfortable with like a simple coin bite and puncture followed by a nice misers dream in to a bucket. Ill almost always throw in "In A Flash" (Sankey) for a nice visually-stunning trick. Im a sucker for moving ink so I also will perform "SHADES" (Eric Ross). This is one of those gems that doesn't get the respect it deserves. It just races circles around spec's. I found a combo of these (give or take) work well at any walk around venue...trust me!
