Looking For a Speaker with an intergrated wireless microphone that is powered by (both) battery & DC/plug in.
One that will work for a B'day or corporate event and is still portable. 25/30 lbs +or-. These are just some guidelines that have worked in the past. So any input would be helpful. Lots of you guys and ladies are workers so your opinion would be helpfull to me and I sure others will find it useful too. Looking forward to your links and advice.

Neznarf, you don't specify if cost is an issue, so I will tell you I have an Anchor Explorer that I love. It is the older style. The new ones have some features mine don't, but it has been an absolute workhorse. I had it about 10 yrs. before the battery needed replacing. I bought it from Joe Lefler and I called him to get a new one and he steered me to a web site to get one for about 1/4 what he would have to charge. Around $25.00 I think with shipping. I had it in about 3 or 4 days and it took about 10 mins to replace. Also, I lost my entire act out the back of my truck when I forgot to close the tailgate. The first thing to fall out was my Explorer. Some honest soul found it and called me and I got it back. It had to skip down the road at about 35 mph and while it had some scuff marks on the case, it worked perfectly and still does. You're looking at probably a little over $1000.00 and there are probably guys out there that will endorse other products, but for dependability, I don't think anything could match it. I'm sure you will get lots of other good suggestions, so good luck.

I am a fan of the Anchor Explorer and the Mipro line looks good.
Any other testimonials would be helpful. I don't have a big voice, so I always use a mic and speaker for a show.

I have a Pyle unit that is 600 watts, about 25#, rolling case with handle, tone controls, handheld wireless, two mic channels and one aux., runs 5 hours on battery. It also has an ipod doc on top if you want to use it. I use it a lot of outdoor track meets and it works well. It runs for under $200. It also has a stand mount on the bottom if you want to use it.
Anchor is a good unit but I found it a little to heavy and ackward to handle. I was so impressed with the Pyle that I became a dealer for them. Sometimes, I can pickup refurbished unit with full warranty for a little less. Richard

Richard, that sounds very interesting... can you give us the model number for that unit? I'd definitely be interested in learning more about it!

Someone sent me this and it reminds me of the Anchor Mini-Vox:
