I want input on some effects I designed. Looking for a price point of handmade Metalism effect.
I have designed a system that allows for a quick mind reading, a drawing duplication, cold reading or even a mini QA system if you take the time to learn the pneumonic system I have created for this effect. It is also adaptable to assigning different reveals as the symbols on the voodoo dowels are very generic. Basic patter about voodoo and how your belief system can greatly affect our outcomes in life. I choose a bit of mystery and positive influence, and that people choose much of their own destiny. But life can give us many trial and tribulations.
They are a combination of many other and some original changes I have found work much better and allow for me to reveal much more information than the major effect that influenced me, one of the best pocket mentalism effects ever in my opinion: Tenyo’s Fortune Sticks.

At MindVention this year I learned don't let the THAT guys of the world bother you so I won't. And also not to be one the THAT guys..

Well, pneumonic generally refers to a form of plague...and they are voodoo dowels...

These look very promising indeed!

The voodoo dowels were a success at mindvention everyone I showed them to liked them. I will be making a video and post it in the next week or so. I will be getting feedback from people who purchased them and post the results here thanks for your input. I will be making several more sets. But I don't want this to be an ad just updating you on the design, and production process of a new mentalism tool.

Rumors of some seasoned veterans taking an interest. More later.

Since they are handmade the the price point will be approx. $40-45

The formula is labor plus material times 2 for wholesale and then times 2 for retail, but that would make them $80 dollars. I have heard arguments to both sides. Would you prefer handmade wooden items or mass produced that appeared to be wood.

I had a look at these today, and I'm really impressed at what Tim has come up with. He's taken a contrived, uninspiring, poorly-designed, poorly-produced mental magic trick (that's right, Tenyo, I said it), and turned it into something credible and powerful. It can be used as a mind-reading effect, a genuine reading system, or any combination of the two. The reading system gives you plenty to work with from the "legit" side, but also delivers a big chunk of secret info that lets you zero in on the sitter's thought-of question, in a completely untraceable way. It's also visually appealing and unusual, which will help you stand out from the other 15 palm and tarot readers on your block. I know Tim is still hashing out the details, but I have a feeling this will end up being something lots of people will want.
