Double Wow. And to repeat (perhaps it will penetrate - although doubtful) "Oh, and wrong again, Mr. Duanebury (for about the millionth time?) - the actual title of the item IS - WHAT ARE THE ODDS? On page 4 of SPECIAL EFFECTS, $93.20 (not $93.00 - Gee, you omitted the 20 cents. Good grief!!) Oh, and it's $110.20 if ordering from out of the U.S.A. And, how silly can we get? If the OP was at all interested, he check out my HELP - if not, not. {i}Thanks so much, DB, for the extra plug opportunity{/i}. But, you don't have to help - we can make a deal. You don't tell me how to be helpful, and I promise - I'LL NEVER TELL YOU HOW TO DO ANYTHING - because you are so perfect!"

Harry, the page selling the book on your own website calls it "Tantalizer Treatise".

So? I checked, and saw a few, among many, quotes. Thanks again "Elite User" for the plug opportunities. Keep up the good work!
"Buy it, read it, learn it, love it. That encapsulates my feelings about ALL of Harry Lorayne's work." (Vlad) What have you "bought" lately, "Perhaps the best teacher in the history of magic - he is a consummate teacher. His writings/teaching is a very special kind of magic." (Dennis Marks) "You truly are the greatest writer and teacher in magic - ever." (Jeremy Lasky) "Harry teaches MAGIC, not tricks, and very powerful magic indeed." (Grandpa Chet) So? Time you put a sock in it, Mr. Elite User? Or would you rather keep on giving me these great plug opportunities? Love it. Thanks.

Getting back on topic: MaxBeat: you should also check out Simon Aronson's Divide and Conquer from his book Try the Impossible. It involves finding two free selections using the same procedure as The Tantalizer, but it uses Simon's diabolical UnDo Influence control to place the cards at the required locations. This means that you don't have to look through the deck and displace any cards after the selections have been made. It's ingenious.

Incidentally, just for the record - generally. I rarely, if ever, say to anyone to BUY anything of mine. What I said in my original posts above was to CHECK IT OUT. Let me repeat - I rarely, if EVER, suggest anyont BUY an item of mine - unless that word is specifically called for. So, the lovely above simply put words into my mouth. Just for the record - generally. We need to know with whom we're dealing. HL. (Let me repeat, as strongly as I can, to Mr. MaxBeat - You might just want TO CHECK OUT my routine, WHAT ARE THE ODDS?, in Special Effects. There are a couple of endings to the basic concept taught that may just be "right up your alley."
