I have a show in december and I have been given the opportunity to utilize level 4 lasers (level 4 provides 3D images). My pieces are Misers Dream and The Linking Rings. I have some ideas as to how I would like to incorporate this technology without upstaging my magic, but I would love to hear/read any suggestions.
A little about the pieces: Miser: This has a very theatrical presentation. I play a role as a Mechanical Man, who produces these coins and deposits them into the "Bucket". For every coin he drops he is given more life permitting him more mobility. Within the routine there is a startling levitation of a coin from the floor of the stage into the awaiting bucket in my hand. Rings: This is my baby!!!! It is a 6 ring routine with very carefully selected moves and sleights (some of which I created). I am very protective of my rings and I am seriously considering omitting any lasers, however the entire production will be utilizing this technology. Any suggestions to use laser here in an artful way so as not to sidestep my performance?
