I have been getting out my trusty ukulele and harmonica in preparation of Holiday shows.
On the song list for the Ukulele(s) are Hava Nagila, Jingle Bells and other holiday favorites. Saturday at a FCM meeting, I played O Holy Night on my G harmonica. In the past I went for laughs and fast tunes on the harp. Hava Nagila was set up, by first saying that I was going to play a traditional Christmas song. I played the melody/finger picked it. After the first few notes, an audience member mentioned that it sounded more "Jewish" and that got the laughter started. These days I don't mind slowing things down a bit. (as in the O Holy night song) Anyone else brushing up their December Deliveries of Down right good fun/magic/music? Harris 1 more year in the "50's", and not quite ready to slow down all around
