I Love Art. I envy those who have the talent to create Art.
Very cool Bovine's Laurie. Nice work Slide. Let's see some more please. Maybe the Steve Brooks would consider adding an "Art Gallery" to the Café. Iven

Laurie - That's impressive!You have a talent for it!
Woodburning is not my thing but I love "creating things". I recently helped 33 high risk youth build a haunted house and walked them through the steps of making zombie monsters. (Their suggestion). It went over really well. Most times I like creating life size objects using wire mesh and paper mache'. The monsters we made were not that difficult however - just used mesh to shape the body forms, covered the faces with mask, and then each chose the clothes, wigs, ect of their creations. I focused on creativity. C |

I am always amazed by the peripheral artistic talents that magicians have! Good stuff shown here folks!
While I've been know to do other things, much of my creative outlet comes in the form of the magic apparatus that I build. I have displayed several things here in the Café's Workshop, and there are some others shown on my website. The mediums are varied, and I love having the latitude of that kind of diversity.

I used to be very handy, and creative around the house before I found a hobby that people paid me to do. This monitory remuneration has changed my attitude about everything. I refuse to get up off my couch unless I have a signed contract with enough money in it to make me go to work. I usually make a weeks salary on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and the other 5 days a week I'm a couch potato.

And then it hit! I suppose it was bound to. I think perhaps Al was suggesting he likes to work for money. Regardless, he's quite welcome here. This kind of work can be a source of income for some, Al. Thanks for the links to your paintings, Harv. Nice work. |

The magical have difficulty extracting themselves from it at times, if they can ever manage it at all. This is the Not very magical, still... forum, not the Not Magical or Not Magical at any Cost forum, FWIW. I've already said Al is quite welcome here and he's not the first to post on this thread in relation to magic. I like magic. I brought some here. And my name is magicalaurie. That's magical, see, and I'm still here. So, unless you're trying to sink this thread, please refrain from further attack. Or I will search this forum and post links to every single magic related topic in the Not very magical, still, I will.

Cool.
Let us hope Gov. Gary Herbert does not see it.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.
