So it's a simple topic ...... What has your cat brought in for you ..... (I am willing to take to accept interesting things that your cat has brought you too, but I want proof of purchase)!
Our first cat brought us toads on a fairly regular basis ... One time she just slightly injured one so that it was bleeding a little and hopping along lots so as to get slime, mud and a little blood along our freshly painted white skirting board. Cheers Patch! |

I purchased a white mouse from a pet store as a kid and it brought me several baby white mice a few days later. Apparently mama mouse didn't like the idea of being a mama and she killed her itty bitty ones. Ugly scene. I forget what I did with the mouse, but she didn't last long.
What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

Cindy lived to be 16, and kept the mice at bay, while making gifts to us of the slower ones. She would always sit very upright by the carcass until one of us came by and acknowledged receipt of the gift with compliment of what a good mouser she was, all the while looking very pleased she could do this for us.
Between the three fuzzbutts we have now, the mice have the run of the house until traps were introduced. However they are death on moths, crickets and the like.

My first cat brought me a rabbit. He was a supercat, though.
Had one cat that would go mousing with me around the bird cages. I'd shoo them out with a stick and she'd nail them as they ran. Another cat used to bring chipmunks in the house all the time, but never the dead ones. I got pretty good at shutting off bedroom doors in just a matter of seconds and then capturing the chipmunks for release outside. Don't ever try to grab a chipmunk by the tail, though. They just break off leaving you with a small fuzzy chipmunk tail and the chipmunk dragging a blood trail EVERYWHERE. My current fur dragon is useless, Not enough brain cells in his head to make a maraca.

I like cats as well as dogs. Had both most of my life. But if this one wasn't lovable, he'd starve.

I was hooked; smart as whips. No critters in the house now though, but I miss their presence. We lived in Hong Kong for three years and the buildings there are very open because of the mild weather. Gekkos were commonly accepted as residents in your flat because they ate all kinds of bugs. My wife found a little kitten in the garbage on a crowded Wanchai street one day, heard it meowing and rescued her. She had no tail. We had that cat from 1977 till 1995. She showed no mercy on gekkos though. But we loved her dearly, as with all the critters we've had....except that effin' white mouse!

I had a Maine Coon Cat who would bring me three pound Norway roof rats every morning.

My late golden retriever brought me all tail feathers of a pheasant cock-likely the only time he ever brought me anything...he was more prone to taking socks away to his special hiding place! And now I am cryin' again...he died in 1994 and I still miss him like crazy.

Franky died on Friday at age 14 & 3/4. My sister and I buried him yesterday, and this morning the world was dressed in white.
