Well... MindVention was a success, once again. In 3 short days, I learned so much.. had the chance to hang out with some of the great mates I met last year.. and made a few new ones. So.. to anyone wondering if it is worth the trip (Coming from someone who travelled 20 hours, half way across the world to be there) YES!!! Well worth the travel and money spent.
Now, last year, I was disappointed to realise that I was going to miss Paul Vigils show, as I hadn't planned my flights correctly. This year however, I made SURE I wasn't going to miss it. I spent a long time looking forward to the trip... and looking forward to seeing his show. It was a long wait. For anyone that hasn't had the pleasure of seeing Paul perform, in my opinion, is missing out on one of the most skilled, and exciting performers Vegas, has to offer. Paul knew I had been waiting to see his show for a long time... and generously reserved a seat right next to the table in which he performs from. Front row, and centre! The best seat in the house did come at a price though... as I was then subject to the room, FULL to the brim of mentalists from MindVention looking at me and thinking "Who the F does this guy think he is!" DON'T DENY IT!!! Im a mind reader!! Anyway... Paraphrasing slightly, the show begins with Paul saying: "I know what your thinking! Who is this guy? And... Is he any good?! - My name is Paul Vigil, and yes, I am!" And... he was right, on both counts. I don't want to give too much away with regards to pieces performed... but, the seamless blend of magic and mentalism, combined with Pauls fluid, almost hypnotic, delivery, had me perched, on the edge of my VERY comfy seat for entire hour. The last piece, 'Sympathy for the Devil' still has me scratching my head. So there it is folks.. my attempt at giving a review, without actually spoiling the show for anyone that is yet to have seen it. And... see it, you must!! Thanks again Paul, and thanks King Ink. P.S.. There is a GREAT photograph floating around of the whole room, while Paul was performing. If anyone has it... or knows how to post it.. can you? Please? |

I really enjoyed Paul's show that night.
Many magicians and mentalists attended this show, and I guess sometimes it's hard to perform while there are colleagues in the room. Paul, however, did a wonderful job, was very likeable and I highly recommend to see his show if you happen to be on Wednesday in Las Vegas |

Paul is such a fantastic performer and thinker.
He is one of my inspirations for our art - His politeness and craftiness (are they words?!) during his routines just really something you HAVE to see. Still can't believe this show is free. If you're ever in Vegas - You HAVE to go - You'll see what real magic is. |

I also saw Paul's show this year. He is a very charming performer and a joy to watch. I think the intimacy of the location even adds to the overall feeling.

Thanks, gang.
I love when you all show up and I have a chance to meet, hang, and perform for you! Each of yours' support means more to me than you will ever know. |

Looks like I'll be hitting up Vegas in February and I'm going to make sure I'm there for at least one Wednesday so I can definitely see Mr. Vigil. Truly a tribute to the legacy of our art.
