Does anyone know where to buy the small 3 X 3 Rubik's Cubes used in Rubik's Nightmare? (I'm hoping not to have to use the small 3 X 3 "key-chain" version because that leaves a hole in one of the corner cubes when you remove the key-chain paraphernalia.)
My overall impression of the effect: I just bought this and, quite frankly, I was disappointed in what is provided for the almost nearly $50.00 purchase price. The included Rubik's Nightmare DVD is a bare bones video (less than I gig in length) that (barely) teaches you the moves but, unfortunately, does not teach you how to solve the cube so that you can get back to the solved state (to start over) if you mess up as you are learning the required "twists and turns". Additionally, I can't believe that, at close to $50.00, the effect did not come with all the necessary cubes...or at least a link to a source to buy the smaller cubes. In addition, the DVD was not able to include a Japanese TV video performance ostensibly because of "copy right" infringement issues...and so all you got in that regard was a link to go to a web site to view the omitted video. Thank God that I can (eventually) solve a Rubik's Cube because I see me messing up A LOT as I try to learn the required moves to perform Rubik's Nightmare and/or Rubik's Daydream. If you can't solve a Rubik's Cube, be forewarned that there is a high probability that you will "lose your place" as you learn the moves. As a result, if you cannot actually solve a Rubik's Cube, be prepared to be taking your cube apart and/or removing (and re-pasting) the stickers back onto the cube squares. IMHO, neither of the two effects will be easy to learn or come without a lot of frustration during the learning process. That said, I'm going to give this a effect an honest try at learning...if I can find a source for the smaller 3 X 3 Rubik's Cubes the Rubik's Daydream effect requires. Finally, while I like the "flash" restoration in the Rubik's Nightmare, I think that Rubik's Daydream (where two unsolved Rubik's Cubes match) might be the stronger of the two routines, But, to each his own. OVERALL RATINGS: Strength of the effect(s): Rubik's Nightmare 9/10 Rubik's Daydream 10/10 Difficulty in learning (without messing up): 9/10 Sleight of Hand difficulty (if required): 2-3/10 Clarity of instructions: 6-7/10 It's hard to follow the required moves that are only on the DVD. This will require a lot of "starting and stopping and rewinding the DVD as I try to learn the moves...and not "lose my place" in the process. It would have been helpful to have had a written sheet of instructions for all of the moves. Not a "deal breaker" in that I plan on writing up a set to mnemonically memorize so as to help me minimize "losing my place" as I learn the "twists and turns".) Completeness of the effect: 1-2/10 Basically, a bare bones video. The effect comes with a nice ungimmicked black velvet bag. You will have to buy your own cube(s) for either of the two effects. Regular size Rubik's cubes are easy to obtain; the smaller size ones are not easily available. Rubik's Nightmare only requires an ungimmicked regular size Rubik's Cube; Rubik's Daydream requires ungimmicked cubes in both sizes. (I know...you are paying for the effect. But it would have been nice to not have to bird-dog a source for the smaller size cube and then have to wait for arrival of same.) All the foregoing is just IMHO; your mileage may vary...and probably does. (grin) Mike

Thanks, Paul.
I think that those are exactly what I need for the small cube requirements. I never thought to look through Amazon; I checked many pages of Google and these never came up. Go figure. Thanks again. Mike

I have some other strong magic that I would much rather focus on remembering steps then this. In my opinion this is not a keeper for me. Therefore, this trick that I just opened is up for sale now. If you plan on purchasing this please PM me and we can work out a deal. This is the right trick for the right magician! Thanks,
