Problem I see is that with no buckle you have the belt crossing to an x where the buckle would be, as shown in the pics of the 2 people stuck on the phone booths. over time it would get worse with wear imo. seems this would need 2 belt loops to stop that action.
Didn't Jim Riser make neo embedded belts already? duct tape would get all sticky after a few uses as it wears away. I doubt you would need to explain having no buckle. People imo just are not that aware of things like that. could be wrong. Think about it, do you stare at someones waist above their crotch...not unless it's some gaudy Rodeo Award buckle being worn for showing off. Even then most people don't think twice about buckles people wear. |

Couldn't you just take a regular belt and hot glue or crazy glue some really strong magnet to the inner edge?

Lassen posted on his blog a while back that he is having custom leather dress belts made with magnets in them. You might check him for the real deal.
