I mean by favor:
Not going in the water cuffed if you covered in a bag, not picking locks for real under water or in danger when you don't have too! Etc. :)

Aaah. We must stack the deck, whenever necessary. Yup.

I have forgotten who it was, not Bill Shirk, maybe Tom Blacke? But seems to me I remember someone actually lock picking their way to freedom underwater as part of a stunt. This I would not do, whether confident in my picking ability or not. Obviously it can be done, I just don't think it is too smart given the number of things that can go wrong. Imagine though how great that would look to an underwater camera.

There are clearly ways of creating the IMPRESSION of underwater lock picking with less real risk.

Yes, I agree Steve. Seeing someone pick a lock impresses people. Especially because they know it requires skill and you are doing it under extreme pressure. But they just have to THINK you are picking the lock. And as magicians, we know many devious ways to make them think that.

Speaking of which, what do you guys think of escaping an underwater tank filled with leeches?
(Also, they could be just something that looks like leeches).
