So I have been posting less, mostly because I have been busy with the Holidays, work, performing, and practicing new things to add to my repertoire. I have been practicing mostly manipulation stuff, billiards and coins, some topit work, etc.
I started practicing my muscle pass again and after not doing it for about 8 years I can still do it although it hurts after just a couple. The calluses I earned when learning it in my early 20s have long since faded. The muscle memory is there though and has helped with my billiard ball stuff. We are going to be missing two regular street guys while they grieve and heal from their losses. Don't forget them over the Holidays. Devious and Ekuth both are great men who always tried to help a fellow magician or busker. |

Things do change. It's what really happens in life. Good change, and tuff change. We all go through it. My thoughts are with Devious and Ekuth. Major loss and I can't imagine the pain.
Not much I can say about that. It's a real rift in the force. Love is what it's all about in life. It's all there is. I work hard giving it to everyone, and I receive enough to keep me going in a great direction. My thoughts will continue to wish them peace, strength and comfort. It will heal, but it takes time. Bless you all during the New Year. |

I guess I just expect the changes to be more gradual. Our little busker community has effectively lost two prominent members for the time being. Their loss is felt through their absence. I am not sure exactly what I am saying, only that their absence is felt.

Gorilla has hit the nail squarely on the head - indeed I feel it too. Both Devious and Ekuth are moving along day to day and are finding more ways to move it along as best they can. Devious and Ekuth are dear friends of mine and I continue to send prayers and good thoughts their way daily. It really is such a shame that these things happened right at the beginning of the holidays - the universe operates in strange (and often, perverse) ways. As the character in Shakespeare In Love, Philip Henslowe (portrayed by Geoffrey Rush) said, "It will all work out". When asked how, he responds, "I don't know - it's a mystery". A mystery, indeed.
As Ekuth said, forget all the petty things, hug your loved ones and tell them you love them because you just never know... I hope everyone had a fun, warm, safe, happy and magical Hanukkah (last week)/Christmas (this week)! In other words, Happy ChrismaHannuKwanzika! |
