I like bicycles except for the jokers. These are ghastly. I had a set of white-backed limited edition bikes with beautiful jokers, loved those. Maybe I'm just too fussy...

I prefer PGC unless I need a white border, then Bikes.

Red bikes are my trusted friends. Tryed other decks but felt a bit woosey and had to sit down.

Recently I tried the Aristocrats and the handling is very very nice!

This is all something I have wondered about. Personally, I like the idea of being able to do things with any deck of cards I might happen to be handed (within reason, that is. I might not be able to do anything with a deck that has been extensively handled by a person addicted to buttered popcorn or cheetos, and, if the cards are those cheesy old porno decks, I doubt anyone, including me, will be paying attention to the effect). However I bought a couple of decks from the local supermarket and they were just impossible to handle.
That having been said, I have dozens of Bicycle decks around, since I can buy them in bulk at Costco, and since odds are good a lot of people I would b visiting would also have them around. |

I prefer Tally Ho's for my day to day use.
I terms of recent interesting decks the Karnival earthtone9 deck has a very cool and unique design with curves in all the right places. |

For some reason, I just don't get on with standard Bikes. The Ghost deck, on the other hand, I really like. The black and white back design just plays better for me.
Tally Ho's are also good, but I tend to work decks into the ground and beyond before I stop using them, so I feel OK about getting two or three 'nice' decks, like Artifice of Ghost, and just use them, since they last longer than Bikes or Tally Ho's. |

I am the opposite - I don't run my cards into the ground and often give the deck away at the end of a full performance. Therefore, I find that value for dollar, Bicycles are my preferred deck of choice - color not important.

I know our friend HL uses either borrowed Bikes or Tally-Ho's for his routines when he performs. (Is that still your preference, Harry?)
BTW, it seems to me Tally-Ho's have REALLY increased in price since the beginning of the year! Anyone have an idea where to get a brick at a reasonable cost and without outrageous shipping charges in the CONUS? A PM would be nice!

Haven't posted on this forum in a LONG time. Decided to post here to ease myself in .
Tally-Ho Blue Fan backs are my go to choice. Prefer the feel over Bicycles and they seem to last longer. I've recently started collecting decks I like the look of. In terms of appearance I really like the Karnival Earthones (very nice custom aces), Bicycle Red Dragon Backs and Bicycle Guardians. |
