We don't get as hot as Arizona or as cold as Alaska, what we do get is weather that changes so fast you never have time to get used to it. I do prefer cold to hot though

The blue wings are back. First non-Mallard puddle ducks I've seen this spring. I was walking through the marsh when I saw one slip into the reeds. I pressed as far in as I could till the water was almost over the top of my boots and finally flushed six of them. No pics but I got some great looks at them through my field glasses as they circled three or four times before dropping into a different pothole 30 or 40 yards away.

Nice. Last Tuesday some ducks swam around my legs when I was wading in the river. It was awesome

Lots of geese--Canada and snow--and lot's of mallards right now. I haven't been out much, so I might have missed the swans and cranes

I have lots of visitors to my yard. Of course, I never have a camera so I got one of those motion sensitive ones and tied it to a tree.
We also have an eagle nest in our tree. Last year we had two eaglets but only one made it. I'll see if I can find a pic of that if anyone is interested.       |
