Greetings all!
This is more a general than specific question. I'm looking for suggestions. Finding the spectator's selected card is, of course, a staple in card magic. Does anyone have any suggestions for books, pamphlets, lecture notes or DVD's with ideas dealing with the "final revelation" portion of these card routines (beyond the card-to-wallet/shoe/fly/any other impossible location, which are all good)? I'm looking for ideas to fresh-up my routines. Thanks you. |

Seems like the perfect thing for you. I don't have it, so I can't vouch for it's usefulness, though. |

Daryl created a 5 volume DVD set just on card revelations. If you're looking for ideas, you'll find a bunch.

Great suggestions, everyone. I just bought the Multiple Revelation Project and am saving up for the whole "Daryl's Card Revelations" set, which look great!

Here's an oldie but goodie:
The Living End by J.G. Thompson Jr. subtitled: Over 200 Different Impromptu Take-A-Card Trick Endings You will probably need to catch it on eBay. I didn't see it available on a quick Google search. John |

That is for a multiple card revelation. (many cards after each other) Aldo's routine is called Firestarters. He has a sold separately booklet with the same name

If I could start over again (it's a little late after 50 years of magic) I would keep a list with references on my computer (it didn't exist then )with all the possibles NICE revelations that I knew.
There are so many that in time some fade away and that is a pitty. When you create a card routine, such list comes in handy. You will have to divide your list in two or three big categories: 1. revelations with a supplemental apparatus (wallet, box, envelope, index, elastic, ect.) 2. revelations with a flourisch (pop up move, snowshoe from Daryl, shooting in the air, ect.) (eventualy) 3. revelations with gaff cards |

A particular favourite of mine is the Shreko Howard Pop-Out move, which can be learned on Patrick Kun's CentrePoint download at Ellusionist. It takes some practice, though.

What great suggestions! I never realized the vast wealth of resources available on this subject. Please keep the suggestions coming, not only for me but others, here at the forum, who many be seeking a new "end to justify the means", as it were. I'm comprising a list, for my self, of all these wonderful suggestions. And, the search for them has already begun!

I also recommend the Daryl card revelations set. Aldo Colombini's Fireworks DVD has some nice revelations as does Ricky Jay, from his 52 Assistants show....
