Hi,
I've just bought a SS2 from a friend but he lost the magnetic pound coin that came with it originally. I've spent some time researching various options on the internet (and searching these forums) and I wondered if anyone who's had hands on experience using magnetic pound coins could offer me some advice. The UK suppliers I've found so far are these: http://www.magictricks.co.uk/products/51......ueppers/ Looks like good value for money but I'm not sure why they explicitly say it's not good enough for SS and I've read good things about Roy Kueppers products - is it just a weaker magnet? http://www.magictricks.co.uk/products/55......Shelley/ The most expensive version and directly affiliated with SS - is this really the strongest coin on the market? http://www.magicshop.co.uk/p20662/Curiou......nfo.html I presume these "Curiously Strong Coins" are made by these people as they're using the same blurb: http://www.subversivecircuits.co.uk/curi......1-coins/ - again, some bold claims that these are the strongest out there - has anyone bought one of these? http://www.emagictricks.co.uk/product_in......_id=5641 The bargain option - 2 x coins for £30 Finally there are quite a few versions on ebay has anyone found a good supplier there perhaps? Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance! Jack |

It seems that you are looking for the strongest magnetic coin. If you are, the best option out of all of your links seems to be this one:
http://www.subversivecircuits.co.uk/curi......1-coins/ They claim to have put Neodymium magnets inside of the coins. This is the strongest magnet you can get, so if they truly put it in the coin, this is your best bet. In the video from that link, it shows that the coins repel each other when slid near each other. I have never seen magnetic coins do this. Anyway, your best bet is this one: http://www.subversivecircuits.co.uk/curi......1-coins/ |
