I had the pleasure to take a peek at this today and all I can say is that I had two surprises; I firstly got impressed with the effect and secondly I got even more impressed by the secret.
Libation allows you to procuce liquid out of an empty glass. Furthermore it can be applied to cans, bottles etc to achieve really amazing effects. Two things I like about this product are firstly that this is meaningful and has consisted the inspiration of many magicians and secondly that you can execute effects that have been impossible in the past if you did not invest a generous amount of money. Demo can be seen here: http://www.magictao.co.uk/libation-by-ma......magictao as well as all the necessary info and a special offer. The only thing I have to add is that when I firstly saw this trailer I thought that it would not be clean and that there would be "issues" with the hanky. I was completely wrong. This is way cleaner, visual and genious than I could even have thought. Regards, Harrismatic |

Nice idea a great concept could this be done in a walker round situation or is it more suited for one of performance IE stage parlor top table.

Hi Kieron
This can be performed in a walk around situation. We explain everything on the DVD. |

From what I saw in the demo..... you are not producing liquid from an empty glass.
You are producing liquid from a silk/handkerchief INTO an empty glass. A totally different effect. Or can it also be used to produce liquid FROM an empty glass. Apologies in advance if I have made a mistake ( I have even confused myself now). Ian. |

Rasp you are wrong when you say that the magician is producing liquid from a silk/handkerchief. The silk/handkerchief is not the method

Another bad release from magictao

Gimmickless - Whilst you are entitled to your opinion what you have stated sheds no light on why, in your view, 'Libation'is a bad release. Your comment doesn't help Magic Tao to improve where it might need to nor does it help anyone who might be considering buying 'Libation' make their own mind up about it. Your comment would have far more credibility were you to say what is bad about 'Libation'; that way others can weigh things up for themselves. Equally, 'another bad release' suggests you have an issue with other products released by Magic Tao. If this is the case, then please be specific. Where people offer genuine feedback, that is helpful from a developmental perspective, it's always great to hear what people have to say. Comments such as yours contribute nothing to furthering the art of magic; your comment is neither helpful nor well thought out. This forum hosts many stimulating discussions; people sharing views and opinions (good and bad), having a 'pop' at each other, at products and stretching how people think about and perceive magic. Comments such as yours, in my opinion, contribute nothing to the debate.

Sorry The Greek, I was not taking a guess at how the secret works.
Only the type of effect. In the demo I saw an empty glass which was covered by a silk. When removed, the glass was full of liquid. Hence in my mind, I am seeing liquid produced from a silk. In the original post, it says that 'Libation' allows you to produce liquid from an empty glass. I was expecting to see an empty glass shown and then somehow be able to produce liquid FROM THAT glass. Unless I am not understanding correctly, it looks to me that 'Libation allows you to produce liquid INTO an empty glass' Slightly different wording, but completely different effects.............. Well that is my interpretation from what I read and then subsequently saw. |

Another interesting response gimmickless. Still nothing to add to qualify what is meant by 'bad tricks'? With regards to needing money - most people, not all, do need money, Magic Tao is no different to most people and most businesses - releasing magic requires funds to invest in new products. Magic Tao makes careful choices about what it releases. Do we always get it right - probably not, but we are all work in progress and will never be perfect. Thanks for your good wishes for future releases though.

Can anyone give a usable review?
It looks a bit fumbling!? - The liquid from the handkerchief. "Perform these effects in both close up or parlor situations." Really? I think not! Or it resets itself? I'm skeptical. Can I hang the gimmick in my jacket? And it make no mess? Can I use the gimmick from my pocket? And it make no mess? Lighting conditions? |

Lhj8yg6c - I have responded to each of your questions as follows:
It is possible to perform 'Libation' in both parlor or close up situations. The re-set is immediate, providing you have extra gimmicks made up. The effect does not re-set itself. You can locate the gimmick in both your jacket, or pocket, depending on your preference. We supply a gimmick that will allow you to set up in your jacket. There is no mess at all. Lighting makes no difference. 'Libation' is even more impressive in real life. I hope this is useful. |

Hi! I was wondering how much liquid the gimmick is capable of producing and whether it would be capable of producing a goldfish in said liquid. I am always on the lookout for more material for my street show and this looks very promising, but busking tends to be somewhat hard on the props (I take great care of my props, but the street is a very demanding stage and takes its toll). How durable is it? With regular use (10-15 shows a day) will I need to buy new ones regularly?
Thanks for the info! The promo looks great! |
