Hi guys,
I have 0 experience in coin magic, but am planning to start learning about it. I've done some research on the different kinds of coin benders like superman 2.0, coinvexed 2.0, QB 2.0, etc, etc. Which do you guys think is the best coin bender? And, as a beginner which would you suggest? Thanks a lot as always! |

1) dvds and books on sleight of hand w/ coins of course! Practice for two years.
a. nail-down a one/two coin routine. b. performance Coins Across. c. Switch-in, switch-out 2) add gimmicks as you see fit!

Quantum bender is probably the best on the market. If you have the money, this is the way to go. Don't waste your money on Superman or any of the "cheap" benders - you won't use them. I know from experience.
I use Coinvexed (Sharpie) and am very happy with it. I bought it because it was 1/3 the price of the QB2. Other than having to carry 6 - 8 coins in your pocket, the Coinvexed is almost as "efficient" as the QB2. Either method will completely fry the spectator. This is IMO one of the best effects in magic, although conditions have to be right to do it. Jim |

Thanks Donny - guess I just need more experience!!
Formless, I can't really explain the differences in the Superman or Coinvexed or QB2 without tipping methods and performance subtleties. If Coinvexed 3 is coming out then yes, wait for it. I don't know what kind of improvements it will have over the present prop, but who knows? The Magic Café is a forum where you can learn from the past mistakes of others, so take my advice and avoid the cheap props. If you can't afford the QB2, or the Coinvexed, wait until you can. Jim |
