Ok,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lSKFmSfZUs There's a comment below the video saying the secret happens at the 0:05 mark. For anyone that knows how this illusion works, is that correct? Thanks! Steven |

You are wrong, as the method done by DC on the video is not possible!

No, I don't have to know. Never said or thought that. Not the reason I joined. I performed magic for many years. I'd disagree with the last point. I know how he does most.

Sadly once again somebody wo thinks that "knowing a secret" in a technical sense means also to know "how it is done". I can assure you, that you do not know how DC does his stuff ... And if you really want to know "how it is done", you have to ask very different questions.

I've read all the steinmeyer books and all the osbourne books and I STILL am not sure how he did this. It's great.

Watching the video posted you see a difference performance than if you were to watch it live.......however a layperson watching it live would be fiiled with the same wonder as we are watching the video. The one thing the people who are watching it live do get is replay it 1000 times, watch it in slow motion, and come up with theories as to how it is done. I wish DC would come out with another special, but I am afraid he won't because of all the youtube idiots who will do everything the can to expose his secrets. I am sure that there are other reasons too, but I would bet that is one of them.

Steven,
IT happens at 0.21. The moment you see his legs for the first time. |

Swann101, I agree.DC is well-known for using video-edited versions of some of his tricks on tv, and not performing it the same way in person.

Steven,
This illusion is not realized by video-editing, but on tour you will not see exactly the same version of the illusion. You will need a profound study of (the history of) illusions, to find the real principles of this illusion. But a matter of fact is that you can find the real answer for this illusion in the "from the editor" column of Magic Magazine, years ago. Combining A + B + C gives One! |
