THB, Flaming Eric for his success makes you, in my honest opinion, quite low.

Great Scott the magician ( it hurts my tongue just calling you by your name)
Reactivating an old post for the sake of flaming makes you what? especially when it is quite obvious that you are missing the point entirely. first there was no flaming 2nd, its not about his success, its about a value that we do not share. that all makes you an idiot.( in my opinion, of course) It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it. why don't you spend more time on your website instead, it clearly still needs it. |

First of all THB, I can understand your point of view and agree to an extent. For example I disagree with spiritual mediums who rope people into believing passed-on loved ones sending messages through. And fortune telling, I disagree with the way they claim authenticity. Each to their own.
I want to point out my observations. Nice to see you peered into my profile to find some dirt to fling at me, and then call me a name. It highlights the negaivity in your character. I thought holistic therapy might support the benefits of positive reinforcement (towards yourself and others) - as the mind affects the body. Speaking of a value you don't share, I didn't see him asking for your antisocial opinion. He was sharing a moment he found positive to his purpose. It looks like rudeness to bring someone down when doing this. Would you act like that in real life away from the keyboard? Would you speak like this at a magic convention when someone shared their positive experience? You would probably get shunned. I get sick of seeing people insult others. Take a leaf out of Steve Mollet's book - he was profound and considerate, yet still provided an opposing opinion - without the insults. I'm all for debating, if the approach isn't so self righteous. It looks like it's your way or the highway. Sincerely, "Great Scott the Magician".

THB,
I would be genuinely interested to hear what your approach to mentalism is. The majority of mentalism involves deception or trickery of one sort or another. Mentalism without deception tends to be based on physiological tells or psychological forces. Are you saying that you use only such methods, or that you have a general disclaimer at the start of your show decrying all supernatural ability and explaining that every you do is achieved by simple trickery within the technical reach of pretty much every spectator in the room? |

I have explained my opinion already. Read the whole thread and you'll find it. This is an old post and should remain so...
