George Anderson wrote two volumes on this. 'YOU TOO CAN READ MINDS' and 'LET THE AUDIENCE DO THE SHOW'. Both avaliable from Magic Inc.
'LET THE AUDIENCE DO THE SHOW' is also avaliable from lybrary.com

I'd also recommend the George B. Anderson booklet "You, Too, Can Read Minds". Old, but not out-dated. It contains various different effects, interesting methods how to convey the information secretly to a spectator and even complete routines.
A valuable source if you intend to make the spectator do the mind reading. Definitely worth tracking down. - Markus |

Making the spectator the Mind reader IMHO turns mentalism into a magic performance.

Parmenion, if a great performer has a person come up and read someone's mind that he has just shown that 'anyone' can do it.

Different ways of approching it, my friend.
Tried it in the 80s and found I got a better reaction from the audience when I didn't. Better reaction turns into more bookings. Nice once in a while for charity, not for dollars. |
