This section of the forum undoubtedly contains my favourite posts to read/dwell over.
Information relating to magicians, tricks and books of yesteryear are (in my honest opinion) the most interesting aspects of magic. However, as visitors here no doubt realise, new posts and responses are extremely limited. By comparison, 'Latest & Greatest' is inundated with posts, responses, etc. What a truly sad indictment of modern day magic and, in particular, so-called modern day 'Magicians'.

Many of us "lurk" here. "Aged learnings" are priceless. I get criticism for reminding people that there are only 88 keys on a piano. Principles available to magicians also have limitations. It is a matter of how they are used. This section is a gold mine for that!
The inexperienced find everything new regardless of age! Once in Atlanta I could not help but laugh at a new magician who look at silks and then remarked that he never did old stuff. He claimed that he only did the newest most modern magic. He only did street magic! I didn't have the heart to tell him that was older than streets. Bob |

Yes my three favorite sections are this one, Magicians of Old,and Not Very Magical, But Still (for entertainment value). This must be the place. There ain't anyplace like this place anywhere near this place, so this *must* be the place! (Where is that from??)
