Hi everyone,
I have only given 1 review in my life because I never was so happy with a product before then. But now is number 2. The Definitive Sankey Vol. 1 is my new all time favorite magic book. My last favorite book was The Magic Of Michael Ammar but The Definitive Sankey definitely beats it. I have over 200 magic books and none are as great as this. So far I have gotten through 3/4 of the book and there are already 15 tricks I will be practicing until I feel they are good enough to perform them and then I will be using them. Basically this book saves you from buying every Sankey book, DVD, most products of his, and more, as this book teaches and or teaches how to make the trick(if you need the prop.) Even If you are not a big Sankey fan you will LOVE this book. The 2nd great thing about this book is that it teaches everything extremely well; there are very helpful pictures and the text descriptions are amazing too. The 3rd great thing about this book is that they asked many other well known magicians to pick out their favorite tricks and showed which magicians liked which tricks. That is helpful because you can look in more detail at those tricks. Now a mistake some people will make while reading the book is that they will only look at those tricks. The reason why that is a mistake is there are soooo many great tricks that are not listed as the other magicians' favorite. All in all, this is an amazing book and it belongs in ANY magician's library!!!!! I cannot wait to buy the other 2 books in the series. Thanks for reading. Magical Wishes, Danny B. |

I have all three volumes and man you are in for a real treat when you get them! Props to Joshua Jay and Andi Gladwin for their crazy hard work of rewriting and rephotographing everything. There are a few signature Sankey routines missing from this trilogy, but, I am pleased with it and Sankey is young enough that I would wager we will see two or three more volumes in 20 year's time. These are on par with Paul Harris' Art of Astonishment and as you say, it's nice - and money wise REALLY cool - to have a large body of Sankey's work available. Hope to see more reviews! You say you have over 200 books. That's a respectable library and who knows, by reviewing them, you just might turn other magicians on to some great books they might have missed! Namaste, Vlad |
