Does anyone know of the cause?

I am very sorry to hear this. RIP Dennis.

I sessioned with Dennis in Ann Arbor. He introduced me to magic. (Unless you count Gene Gordon when I was a kid.)I slept on his couch many times. We got high together (it was the '60s.) This really hurts. Really really hurts.

We were close friends for 53 years. I met Denny at a Cub Scout Blue & Gold Banquet where I was speaking. He was 17. He walked in carrying a Super X Levi "G". We shared rooms at conventions, We pushed Doug. Hennings VW Microbus to get it started as he left Colon for the last time. We 'argued' over his taking out the Kramien Show. We...I can't write anymore....

Oh. no.....this is terrible news. Dennis was one of my favorites. I was sad when he decided to stop writing his column in M.U.M. I am really sad now.

It feels strange hearing about his passing when we were just talking to him so recently and reading his helpful advice. The idea that if were say something on the board to him now, he will never reply, seems hard to accept

Very sorry to hear this. I have corresponded with and purchased magic from Dennis as well as recognizing enjoying his posts on the Café. His insights on the memDeck and patience and advice for new practitioners were wonderful.

It's always sad to lose a fellow magician/friend. My sympathy to his family.
